The Jane Gang, a seven-piece Western Swing band, was active in the Boston area from 1993-2003.
Led by vocalist Jane Goldman, the band included some of Boston’s finest Jazz musicians: bassist Bob Nieske, drummer Dan MacDonald, pianist Joe Mulholland, guitarist Malcolm Granger, saxophonist Tom Hall, and fiddler Mimi Rabson.
Inspired by Bob Wills and his Texas Playboys, the band’s music combined West Texas fiddle music with big band jazz.
